Bienvenido a la Comunidad Biointensiva

ABOUT US

GROW BIOINTENSIVEMR

ORGANIC SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AT A HUMAN SCALE

Mission

- To form and train people on the use of organic sustainable agriculture at a human scale through courses, workshops, distance learning, and counseling with the purpose of generating sustainable communities which support each other and have healthy soils, healthy food and healthy people. - To make Ecología y Población (ECOPOL) and El Mezquite an example of organic Biointensive agriculture at a human scale and of future agriculture and to be a resource for small producers in the world.

Vision

- To become a model of Biointensive agriculture and to inspire farmers all around the world so that they produce abundant and healthy food for themselves and their families at a small scale and in a sustainable way while at the same time they recover, maintain, and increase their soil’s fertility. By doing this, they will create communities that are alive, proactive and supportive. All of the aforementioned inspires us to work hard in order to reach our goal.

Values

- Coherence: To live the principles, philosophy, and values of the Method. - Empathy: With the personal and social circumstances of the Biointensivists around the world. - Respect: For the soil, the natural processes, the ecosystems and ancestral knowledge. - Humbleness: To recognize our limitations and look for help among our friends and associates to overcome them. Wisdom: To do research, learn and bring ourselves up to date and to generate solid information to adapt Biointensive agriculture to the different ecosystems in which it is used with the purpose of generating resilience before the climate crisis. - Tolerance: Before the differences between the different organic agricultural trends. - Generosity: To share the experiences and knowledge accumulated during 52 years. - Perseverance: To overcome the difficulties and obstacles that come along the way to achieve our goals.
